Chances are that one of these three programs will be able to remove those pesky infectious programs from your system.

1. Malwarebytes (http://www.malwarebytes.org)

This has a standard GUI install and downloads the latest update before the program starts running. Usually by running the default quick scan you can remove the latest malware in about 5-10 minutes.

2. ComboFix (http://www.combofix.org)

ComboFix has a regular .exe file but it installs from a command prompt window. It doesn’t like to be run along with any other antivirus program and will tell you if you have one running. After complaining a couple times it runs anyway. One of the best features of this software besides removing viruses/malware is that it installs the Windows Recovery Console for you. For that reason alone you should download and run this program at least once.

3. McAfee Avert Stinger (http://vil.nai.com/vil/stinger)

I have not used this one personally but others have recommended it to me. The program doesn’t provide any extra bells and whistles like real-time scanning or scheduled scanning. It will just remove specific viruses for you.

These programs should allow you to get your computer back up and running within a few minutes. The more people who know this information the better off everyone else will be.

If you are constantly getting viruses then you will need to reevaluate the websites you visit as well as making sure your operating system is up to date.
